Suprised to see Michigan on the Jones Travelogue? These were taken during our annual Jones fall camping trip to Lundington State Park in Michigan. To be honest, it's one of our favorite weekends of the year. We pack our matching red long-johns (thanks mom!), foil bake dinners, our big quilts and spend the weekend just relaxing along the beach, sitting by the campfire and snuggling in our itty bitty tent. Cree's the best camping companion a girl could ask for.
Have I ever told you how much I love Michigan? You should visit.

Can't say that Michigan is high on our list, but your photos are making me reconsider!
ReplyDeleteOh, these pictures warm my heart! I spent a week every summer just south of there, in a big old drafty house on the beach in Pentwater. I miss Lake Michigan and those sand dunes every day!

I'm from Holland, Michigan and we would camp in Ludington as kids. Your view looks so peaceful though - I remember it as a hiking/biking/kid-crazy whirlwind of a weekend. I also remember being TERRIFIED of that lighthouse. It was a big deal when I mustered up the courage to climb it! Great memories.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! This is one of my favorite series of all time!

Beautiful Amanda. It's been so long since I visited Michigan (and even then it wasn't to the portion touching the lake); so I loved seeing these. Every now and again I miss living in the Midwest (I grew up in OH). So glad you're enjoying it~
