Oh my goodness...this is such a fun memory.
It was our last morning in Copenhagen with Paul and Brittany. Paul had run out early in the morning to get us the yummy essentials for a real Danish breakfast...it was so so so good. By the time we finished we only had about an hour before Cree and I needed to leave for the airport. We made the last minute decision to go to the harbor (a free swimming area right along the water)...I think it was the only thing on our "go-to" list that we hadn't done. It was so cold the guys literally jumped in and then jumped back out. Brittany and I opted to stay on the dock, bundled in our coats (yes! It was cold enough for coats!). It probably sounds silly, but it was so much fun. Same time next year guys?!
PS. Cree and I are headed to Paris (!!!) for the weekend. A quick, sort of spontaneous trip. We're so so excited. And to make it all sweeter, we get to stay at Rubi and Stanton's beautiful flat. Can't wait!!!

ReplyDeleteMan, and the best part is that we got ice cream after. Like it was a beautiful sunny day! You guys are the best.
ReplyDeletehaha, I'd forgotten that! and then they rode home with the ice cream on the bikes. So funny.
DeleteThose are some brave smiles for icy water! But things excitement always seems to provide enough warmth for adventures like that.

ReplyDeleteWhen I was an exchange student in Copenhagen I lived just around the corner from the harbor with the swimming, but I was never brave enough to jump into the cold Danish waters. Now I wish that I had been. Beautiful pictures.

ReplyDeleteCoats? That actually sounds like great weather right about now!
ReplyDeleteWhen you're in Paris, go to the Marais and have a falafel sandwich from L'As du Falafel. Best falafel I've ever had!
Totally dig the photos!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, this looks so fun! We jumped into water like this in Spain the other week - it was little warmer, though! ;) Enjoy Paris - it's one of my favourite cities in the world! P.S. Try and eat at Grazie Grazie - a lovely, super industrial pizza place in le marais:
