Goodness gracious...isn't Switzerland beautiful? On the way back home from the Matterhorn, we took a quick detour in Montreux to visit the Chateau de Chillon. Unfortunately we arrived too late to go inside, but just exploring the grounds felt like a dreamy/fairy tale adventure.
PS. Thanks iGNANT for the feature!

ReplyDeleteI was able to visit Switzerland in 2005 and it is still one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.
ReplyDeleteI hope I get more time in Switzerland someday. I was only able to visit the very southern, Italian area (which was also beautiful) but this just looks like a dream.

ReplyDeleteI toured the chateau with my mom a few years ago! It was amazing. The dungeons were horrifying. You should definitely go back if you can.

so so amazing, amanda! especially seen through your eyes...
ReplyDeleteOh, I was wondering if you'd made it to the Chateau Chillon! My grandparents lived near Geneva for a year when I was in high school, and visiting this castle was one of the highlights of my visit to them. (2 others: Annecy and Appenzell). And today is the first day in several months where I feel like I can breathe a little work-wise. So I'll finally be able to think about and schedule a little photo shoot. I haven't forgotten! xo
ReplyDeleteOh! how fun. We will have to make a stop by the other castles for sure! Thanks for the recs. ;)
