It's day No. 2 in the My Better Half Marathon Week, and today's couple is such a treat. Blake Suarez and Olivia Rae James are both artists (super talented), awesome instagrammers (@oliviaraejames & @blakesuarez - they make everyday look like a party) and they both call Charleston home. See their bio below to learn more!
Thank you Blake and Olivia for being a part of My Better Half!

BLAKE
1. Is half Venezuelan and regularly shouts "Juepa!"
2. Starts the dance party every single time.
3. Wears his heart on his sleeve.
OLIVIA
1. Never says no to adventure, even ones before sunrise with a 99% chance of rain.
2. Has pomegranate Burts Bees in her jean jacket pocket at all times.
3. Is always down for noodle night.
BIO
We live in Charleston, South Carolina; a magical little peninsula that smells of jasmine in the springtime. Our evenings consist of sunset bike rides and wine/cheese dates in the window of our favorite French bar. Blake is a graphic designer/illustrator and Olivia is a photographer and writer. We're easily excited and inspired, and we sometimes drink champagne out of cans and dance in the kitchen to Spanish tunes.
Thank you Blake and Olivia for being a part of My Better Half!

ReplyDeleteLove them! Sweet photos. :)
ReplyDeleteAttractive hipster narcissists enacting 500 Days of Summer but with a happy ending, complete with prerequisite childishness like "eats ice cream for breakfast", and "thinks sharks are scary!"
ReplyDeleteBlergh. Enough.
Haters gonna hate.
DeleteBlerghenough, you should start a blog--You're great with words. :)
DeleteAmanda, I love your approach to this commenter.
DeleteAnd seriously, if you don't like it, don't say anything!
Everyone else here seems to love the creativity behind this series and yes, even the three little tidbits of each person. Of course these descriptions are simple - they're are meant to be light and fun and give us readers a sense of each of the individuals. They are not a treatise on the couple; they couldn't be and don't have to be.
Not sure why some people can't just enjoy things!
Keep them coming!

ReplyDeleteAlways amazing when people go to this kind of trouble to be unkind to somebody. Especially on their blog. I mean, that's like breaking into someone's house and bitch-slapping them in the middle of the night because you don't like them. Rude.
ReplyDeleteGet outta here. Get your own site where you can post whatever cranky bullshiz you want. Jerk.
haha! Jason, you're the best. I wish I could have your whit for just one day of my life. ;)
Deleteand by whit I meant wit!
DeleteHa, Jason, that is the BEST response, ever. I mean, ever. You're amazing! And so are you Amanda Jane!
DeleteWhat is WRONG with people? Whatever fuels comments like that (jealously, inadequacy, lunacy...) I don't care - it shouldn't be done. If you don't like something created by another person that's totally fine, that's life, we get it. But don't be a prick about it - why can't they think to themselves "hmmm, this is not to my taste so I shall close my browser and proceed to look at other interwebs" instead of being hateful? Geeeez. Sorry for the rant.
Oh and PS hilarious how they are ALWAYS anonymous. So brave...
hee hee! whit. :) xx
