We had an extremely hot weekend here in DC.
We spent our time staying hydrated, swimming at the pool, checking weather.com for rain and sitting in the dark. I think having the lights off makes everything feel cooler.
PS. I'm on twitter now. Figured it was about time.
Love these photos! When I lived in the South, I remember waiting for the rain - it looks like it's been a hot summer on the East Coast! I'm heading to New York this week so I hope it's not too hot there either. I'll cross my fingers for you ;)
ReplyDeleteWishing cooler winds for you. Last weeks were very hot here too, even the thunders drumming on various days did not take the heat away. Finally last night with an open balcony door I dreamt for a small while about my woolen socks, but seems that I still might wait a bit as the sun shines brightly and hot today.
ReplyDeleteEnjoying the work that you have done with Kinfolk on my afternoon breaks. Slowly, to make it last longer.
Trying to blow a few bigger clouds to you from the pale blue Finnish sky.
it's been ungraciously warm here in MI, as well. been sipping goji berry lemonade and iced lattes to beat the heat!
ReplyDeleteyou two MUST try commonwealth when you're back in the mitten. it's the most delicious and best!
oh my gosh i love this! those photos & captions are so cute. hope you guys get some rain out there soon, and so glad to have you on twitter :)
ReplyDeleteoh the heat. i can so relate. we get afternoon thunderstorms almost everyday, but sadly they only seem to add humidity to the heat and offer no reprieve from the heat :) have a great week!
ReplyDeleteoh this is so cute. i've been hoping for one of those crazy thunderstorms that immediately cools the weather down by 20 degrees. no such luck :P
ReplyDeletethe rain came for us on Saturday night after a shoot! Thank goodness because it was so humid and unbearably hot for us all last week! I hope it comes for you soon too!
ReplyDeletefun photos! super cute!
HA! Such cute pictures, and yes, following you on twitter!
ReplyDeleteoh so cute :)
ReplyDeletehope you have some cooler days soon. x
Yay for twitter!
ReplyDeleteFollowing you on twitter now. :)
ReplyDeleteThis photos are adorable, and yes, it was so hot in DC this weekend. crazy.
so cute. happy about twitter. and seriously... it's hot here too. we had a beautiful monsoon though last night which kind of makes up for it.
ReplyDeletebeautiful blog!
ReplyDeletemy blog is www.casablock.com (one blog, three citys: buenos aires, paris, mexico)
I'm feeling for ya. We know what hot weather is but we all have a/c in az. I would suggest eat lots of ice cream and go ice blocking. :)
ReplyDeleteOh please send some sunshine to Berlin. It's rainy and cold, we miss the summer!
ReplyDeleteI like these photos so much, the idea is simple but great! It's still not very summery here in Italy, I am hoping for some hotter days actually, even if I'm happy that it's not raining.
ReplyDeletevery cute.
ReplyDeleteour heat wave broke five days ago and we have all been soooo happy for the wind and cool rain. hopefully your relief comes soon too.
xx
Looks like you guys had a wonderful time on your trip! Hoorah!
ReplyDeleteahhh, you are awesome. these photos are great :)
ReplyDeleteit HAS been hot here in nh too- my beach trip with my mother helped tremendously, but then i'm not bothered too much by the heat. nh only gets 2-3 months of warm weather as it is and today's rainstorm already dropped our temps to the 70's!
ReplyDeletebahahah, Hunter and I totally sit around in the dark cause it feels cooler! I'm glad to know we aren't the only ones. And I think today your prayers have been answered about the rain situation. It was so nice! P.S. We should hang out soon. P.S.S. See you on the twitter :)
ReplyDeleteYou should come visit Belgium, lots of rain here and no summer :(
ReplyDeleteI am so waiting for Autumn to arrive, but till then we should spend our time exactly the way you guys do!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting back, dear Amanda Jane.
:-)
love these so much! Although, not loving how hot it is for you guys-wishing for cooler weather over there.
ReplyDeleteadorable! the representation of the weather needs to be more design-conscious and personalised - you have done it perfectly.
ReplyDeleteCute pictures.
ReplyDeleteWe're new to this part of the country, and the heat is unbelievable. I get excited when I see the storm clouds rolling in and wind. Wind is so scarce here!
