I received a lovely surprise in the mail yesterday. My first printed copy of Kinfolk Magazine which launches online this coming Friday. I designed the stamp (made locally at Mcgee's) & Nate + Katie assembled the packages. I love how they folded the tissue paper...I'm a sucker for details. You can pre-order your own printed copy here.
Get excited for Friday!
We're heading up to New York for the weekend. We'd love any and all recommendations. It's been so long since I lived there, I'm afraid I'm behind the times.
EEEEEEEK! oh my! so exciting. that. looks. wonderful!
ReplyDeleteps....have fun in NY! i'm afraid i'm behind the times too (and so sad about it). although, it looks like westville is still open, so knowing that, i would certainly head there! mmm...and...if you go, you MUST get a giant oreo cookie! they are my fav. i've only been to the east location :)

ReplyDeleteHOORAY! I can *wait* til Kinfolk goes live on Friday, and am hoping my hard copy will be arriving any day. SO. EXCITED.
ReplyDeleteAnd ditto re. Westville- one of my favorite hole-in-the-wall places to eat when I was living in New York (make sure to go to the original, tiny one in the heart of the West Village, and go early- the place is always packed).
Grey Dog on Carmine St. (also in the W. Village) is a great coffee shop-cum-cafe of the same ilk. Great record store across the street.
Talk a zip through the galleries in Chelsea, then walk along the High Line and get milk + cookies at the Standard.
DON'T MISS MAIRA KALMAN'S SHOW AT THE JEWISH MUSEUM! Whatever you guys do, please don't miss this.
hope that helps! (and so lovely to come across a fellow Kinfolker)!
xo.
I took the same photos — such great packaging you guys created! NY highlights: Momofuku (for dessert), The High Line, Stanton Social (for dinner) + The Guggenheim are some favorites. Enjoy! :)
